Mit dem neuen Ladegerät DC18SF können vier Makita Akkus gleichzeitig an das Ladegerät gesteckt werden. Das Ladegerät lädt dank intelligenter Sensoren die Akkus erst auf, wenn sie die richtige Ladetemperatur erreicht haben. Dadurch wird die Lebensdauer der Li-Ion Akkus erheblich verlängert. Der sogenannte Multi Charger verfügt über zwei getrennte Anschlusspaare, die jeweils zwei Akkus nacheinander laden. Das lästiges Umstecken der Akkus nach jedem Ladevorgang sowie der damit verbundene Zeitverlust gehören der Vergangenheit an. Makita ermöglicht damit, vier Akkus in kurzer Zeit zu laden (z.B. 4 Stück BL1840 Akkus in 3 Stunden).
