Der Schneidespalt der BJS 161 ist auf unterschiedliche Materialstärken einstellbar und trägt somit zur Reduzierung von Gratbildung bei. Das schlanke Gehäuse sorgt für exzellente Handlichkeit, zudem verhindert die Wiedereinschaltsperre einen unbeabsichtigten Start nach dem Austausch des Akkus. Eine integrierte LED warnt vor nachlassender Akkuspannung und Überlastung.
