It is equipped with a two-stage charging process and a fan-assisted cooling to ensure longer battery life and maximum storage capacity. Its integrated LED indicator provides information about the battery and charge status and allows for maximum comfort when working. In addition, the DCB 118 charger is also suitable for wall mounting as well as its compact dimensions for optimal mounting. Including the DeWalt DCB 118 XR FlexVolt 54 V / 18 V charger there are 2x the Dewalt DCB 546 XR FlexVolt 54 / 18 V 6.0 Ah Li-lon batteries. The DCB 546 XR FlexVolt impresses with its high-power output of 108 Wh and is ideal for extremely heavy-duty work over a long period. This battery is compatible with all 18.0-volt XR machines and can be used in a wide range of jobs. Thanks to its special electronics, this DCB 546 offers efficient protection against overloading, overheating and deep discharging. Its compact, robust design and shock-resistant welded elements make it ideal for tough jobs on building sites. Furthermore, the DCB 546 has a charge level indicator with 3 LEDs and a long runtime thanks to the 6.0 Ah capacity. The FlexVolt 54 V battery has no memory effect and no self-discharge. It is suitable for all DeWalt XR cordless machines with 54.0 volts as well as with 18.0 volts (except band saw DCS 371 as well as radios DCR 016, 017 and Tough-Radio).
