The Makita DTD 172 is an extremely compact and lightweight cordless impact wrench with a 1/4" drive shank. Thanks to its new one-touch bit installation, it is particularly easy to use. With a maximum tightening torque of 180 Nm, it is ideal for fast and efficient screwdriving. A special highlight of the DTD 172 is the bright LED work light, which not only illuminates the work surface perfectly, but can also be used as a hand lamp. This means you always have a perfect view of your work. Thanks to the rubberised handle, the impact wrench sits comfortably in the hand, making it easy to work with. The new quick switch button directly above the switch allows you to quickly switch between the registered and current application mode. Its bit holder has also been improved. Two ball bearings hold the bit securely in place and reduce annoying wobbling. The impact wrench's brushless motor efficiently adapts the torque and speed to changing requirements. Another advantage of the Makita DTD 172 is the deep discharge protection. The tool switches off automatically when the battery is almost empty. This ensures a long battery life.
