Product Description:
The Makita DDG 460 cordless auger is the ideal solution for quick and easy drilling of holes, for example for fence posts or similar applications. Powered by a brushless 2x 18V motor, the tool achieves an impressive torque of up to 136 Nm. Two selectable speed ranges ensure flexibility: 0-1,400 min-¹ for fast drilling in sandy soil or 0-350 min-¹ for powerful work in heavy clay soil. If the drill bit jams, a practical reverse mode is available. With a Ø150 mm drill bit and two fully charged BL1860B (6.0 Ah) batteries, up to 155 holes can be drilled to a depth of 600 mm. Even with a Ø200 mm drill bit, the DDG 460 can still drill up to 90 holes of the same depth - a strong result for cordless use. For maximum ease of use, the auger is equipped with a bright double LED with pre-glow and afterglow function. A soft start ensures a smooth start-up, while XPT technology (Extreme Protection Technology) reliably protects the tool from dust and splash water - even under tough operating conditions. The electronic brake increases both efficiency and user safety. In addition, ADT (Automatic Torque Drive Technology) automatically regulates the speed and adapts it to the requirements in order to deliver optimum performance at all times. Integrated deep discharge protection prevents damage to the battery by automatically switching off the tool when the energy is almost exhausted.
