Thanks to its modern design, the Bosch GAL 18V-40 charger is very compact and compatible with all Bosch Professional 18V batteries. The charging speed has been optimised for the compact 18V batteries. The intelligent charging process automatically recognises the charge status of the battery and charges it at the optimum charging current depending on the battery temperature and voltage. This protects the battery and ensures that it always remains fully charged when stored in the charger. The charger can be operated either upright or hanging on the wall.

      This charger is really robust and feels long-lasting, giving me confidence it'll stick with me for a while. It's compatible with batteries from 14.4 to 18 volts and offers 4 amps of power. The charging times are reasonable and the speed is impressive, quickly filling up my batteries without waiting too long. The handle is simple to use and it fits easily into my workshop. While it doesn't always charge batteries to 100%, it does its job reliably and leaves room for improvement, especially in terms of the fan's noise level.
